Julius Vögtli – Book presentation and solo exhibition in Hamburg, August 2024

We look back with enthusiasm on the recent solo exhibition of Swiss artist Julius Voegtli at the Pashmin Art Gallery Hamburg. Julius Voegtli (1879 – 1944), a pioneer of Swiss Impressionism, presented an impressive selection of his works in this show, including breathtaking landscapes, still lifes, portraits and caricatures.

Highlights of the exhibition were the presentation and book signing of the comprehensive book on Julius Voegtli, published in German, English and Chinese, and the exhibition of works from the private collection of his grandson Hans Vögtli.

The exhibition offered a deep insight into Voegtli’s artistic work, whose bright colors and free brushstrokes were shaped by the influence of great artists such as Kandinsky, de Chirico and Klee. Voegtli, who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and was also active in local politics in Biel, has left a lasting mark with his multifaceted work.

We are pleased to show you some impressions of the successful vernissage!
